Interview Questions
Q1. You are from Kasur. What are the famous fruits of Kasur?
Answer:
Kasur is highly famous for its sweet Melons (Kharbuza) and high-quality Watermelons, which are widely distributed across Punjab during the season.
Q2. Tell us about the Leather Industry of Kasur.
Answer:
Kasur is one of the biggest hubs of the tanning and leather industry in Pakistan. It houses hundreds of leather tanneries that process raw hides into finished leather for export and local manufacturing, contributing significantly to the national economy. However, the industry also faces environmental challenges related to wastewater management.
Q3. After whom was the Changa Manga Forest named?
Answer:
Note: The interviewer asked multiple follow-up questions during this answer.
The Changa Manga Forest, one of the oldest hand-planted forests in the world, was named after two historic brothers, Changa and Manga, who were popular outlaws (dacoits) in the region. They reportedly used the dense forest as a hideout to evade the police during the British era.
Q4. What do you currently do professionally?
Answer:
Clearly and professionally explain your current job or occupation.
Q5. What is your current salary?
Answer:
State your exact current monthly salary package honestly.
Q6. What is the main source of income for your household?
Answer:
State your family’s primary source of income, such as Agriculture, Business, Private Service, Government Service, or Pension.
Q7. When did you buy this shirt and pants you are wearing today, and where do you usually wear them?
Answer:
I bought this attire specifically to maintain a formal and professional appearance for competitive examination interviews and official academic presentations. I usually wear it on formal occasions where professionalism and proper presentation are expected.
Q8. Why do simple, decent, and honest people become corrupt within two to two-and-a-half years of joining the service?
Answer:
A behavior change often occurs when individuals give in to peer pressure, structural weaknesses, or a lack of strong personal ethics after obtaining authority. However, it is incorrect to generalize to everyone. Many officers serve throughout their careers with honesty and integrity. Those who possess strong moral values and professional discipline remain unaffected by negative influences.
Q9. What is your guarantee that you will not become like them?
Answer:
Note: The interviewer cross-questioned extensively on this point.
My biggest guarantee is my upbringing, my clean track record, and my personal conscience. Integrity is not situational; it is a lifelong value. I consider this job a public trust and a career of honor, not a means of illegal wealth. I am fully prepared to remain accountable under the department’s internal accountability mechanisms throughout my service.
Q10. FIA has a specific wing dealing with banking crimes. What types of financial crimes does this wing investigate?
Answer:
