Lt Col Anwar Abbas Butt was killed by TTP in 2010 in Orakzai Agency
Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Abbas Butt 86L/C ex 60BR, Swat Scout FC KPK.
Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Abbas Butt was a Pakistani military officer associated with the 86th Long Course, 60 Baloch Regiment, and Swat Scouts, Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He was killed on March 26, 2010, during fighting in the Kalaya area of Orakzai Agency, present-day Orakzai District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, militants associated with Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had captured the Shna security post during an attack on security positions in the area.
Lt Col Anwar Abbas Butt participated in a counter-operation to regain control of the post.
He and four other security personnel were killed during the fighting.
