As usual, the Taliban’s first task was to go toward the Bamiyan prison. When they arrived, some fellow prisoners had already been martyred, while others were groaning in pain from their injuries. The Taliban broke the prison locks and freed all the prisoners. During their retreat, the Bamiyan Shia had tied up the prisoners and attacked them with grenades and bullets. All the Pakistani Mujahideen were imprisoned here.

Niazi did not like working in the Punjab Police and left his job to join the Afghan Taliban. He said that in the police job, he would only die a dishonorable and forbidden death, while here he felt he could achieve the great goal of martyrdom.
