Al Qaeda Iran
When Osama bin Laden founded Al-Qaeda, he announced the establishment of global jihad. Because of this, Osama bin Laden established Al-Qaeda centers and networks around the world. These included Iran, where Osama bin Laden established an Al-Qaeda network, along with networks in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, and the Philippines. From these networks, Al-Qaeda later began expanding its branches into Iraq as well.
Before the Crusade began, some of Sheikh Osama bin Laden’s companions were arrested by Iran. Sheikh Osama bin Laden threatened them and said, “Release them with honor. We have not yet turned our guns toward you.” Therefore, they released all of them.
