Sindh Police CTD Arrested Sipah-e-Muhammad Target Killer Abid in Karachi in 2026
CTD Announces Major Arrest in Karachi. In a joint operation with the Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA), the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested Syed Muhammad Askari Abidi, a suspected target killer linked to Sipah-e-Muhammad, in Karachi.
According to the CTD, Abidi was listed on the department’s 10 Most Wanted List and was also included in its Red Book. He is allegedly involved in the killings of several religious scholars, including Mufti Shamzai, Mufti Jameel, and Mufti Irshad, among others.
The CTD identified Abidi as a wanted target killer associated with Sipah-e-Muhammad, which is a banned organization in Pakistan.
