Police Party Comes Under Fire in Dera Ismail Khan.
Dera Ismail Khan: A police party came under fire from suspected Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) militants near Pota and Al-Amin Farmhouse on the Dera-Hathala Road in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to initial reports, the attackers opened fire from multiple directions on vehicles carrying DSP Kulachi Kifayatullah and the SHO of Hathala Police Station, resulting in an exchange of fire between the attackers and police.
During the incident, the vehicle carrying DSP Kifayatullah overturned. The DSP and several other police personnel sustained injuries and were shifted to the District Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan for medical treatment.
The injured personnel included DSP Kifayatullah, ASI Nauman Khan, Constable Qasim, Ghulam Saeed, Hashim, and Lady Constable Amber-ul-Tash.
Police personnel were subsequently dispatched from Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines to the area.
