Major Jamal Sheran Baloch was a Pakistan Army officer who served with the 5 Azad Kashmir Regiment and was commissioned through the 117th PMA Long Course.
He also served with the Frontier Corps Special Operations Group in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During his military career, he served in areas including Bajaur, Khyber, and Mohmand.
He was also associated with military operations, including Operation Al-Mizan and Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
He was commanding the Frontier Corps (FC) Special Operation Group in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
On July 17, 2017, Major Jamal was on patrol in Peshawar when a suicide bomber on a motorcycle rammed into his Frontier Corps vehicle near the Hayatabad Roundabout.
Major Jamal was killed in the attack, while several other security personnel were injured.
Major Jamal Sheran Baloch was posthumously awarded the Tamgha-e-Basalat.
His daughter was born after his death.
