The Taliban blew up the shrine of that accursed commander, Abdul Ali, with explosives and wiped out his existence from the face of the earth.

After leaving the Governor’s House, I also had the opportunity to see the grave of the Shia commander Abdul Ali. His grave had become a warning for others. The tomb had been built with Iranian financial support and designed by Iranian engineers. Marble tiles had also been brought to decorate it, and people had once performed acts of respect there.
